Trash management

The city of Paris committed in 2007 on an ambitious Climate Action Plan. As a result, its carbon footprint decreased 20% by 2018, and local GHG emissions were cut by 25%. It is now in the third iteration of the plan (2020-2030), with the final goal of being a resilient, carbon neutral city by 2050 (zero emission).

You can imagine active waste management is part of the plan. Residents are expected to do their share, by separating glass from plastic & paper, and also from other waste, including food.

You will find the bins for general waste (grey) and plastic|paper (yellow) down in the courtyard. As for the glass, you are expected to bring them to dedicated containers, located at each end of the street, one in front de Dehillerin store, the other one at the start of the rue Tiquetonne.
